Is Worker's Compensation coverage enough?

Wednesday, April 8, 2009 by Management 2000

I received a call from a client who wanted to know whether worker's compensation coverage was sufficient coverage.  When I asked what they were referring to?  He stated - we have people working on rehabbing a house as part of their training, if they get hurt is worker's comp coverage enough?  I informed him that the individuals would be covered under our Worker's Compensation Benefit Plan and I explained the rules in Indiana and how Indiana's worker's comp. is exclusive remedy. He said he had no idea that is how it worked. I also assured him that Management 2000 takes care of the benefits administration and our Risk Manager would do an investiagation in the event there was an accident and help develop recommendations and best practices to prevent another injury from occurring. That's why Management 2000 is there. We know you have a business to run
