More and more Employers and Human Resource Professionals are finding it useful to track 'employee data'. Anywhere from tracking which benefits the employee has selected to PTO...(vacation days, sick days, personal days) and all the different pay types / codes. union / non-union, and certified hours just to name a few things employers and HR pros are tracking. YOU may be keeping track with an Excel spreadsheet or an sophisticated HR system...what ever works for you. The idea is that if you can track your 'cost' you'll have better 'controls' creating better profits or be able to offer your services at a better price.
